A TEAM OUTLOOK:
Suffern returns a lot of talent and has depth in the
distance events. They had a great team
last year and they will again. They
should be able to score a lot of points at Sectionals. How close they can get to

Nanuet has been getting better the last few years and they garnered 2nd at Sectionals last spring. They should be strong again and might be
battling Somers for that 2nd place plaque.
CLASS C TEAM OUTLOOK:
It’s always about Bronxville and it will be again. They just have way too much talent and depth
for any locals to handle right now.
Bronxville is probably one of the best small school track teams in the
country and they will show why again this year.
Alberts Magnus is down in Class
C this year and they could be the next best team with

sophomore Rachel Cassata should be able to run under 9 on a regular basis. Swiatocha gives

surprise some.
CLASS B OUTLOOK: Vasquez is the cream of the crop again
while Corbetta is also very strong, Somers sophomore Andrea Nash has the
ability to go over 16 feet as well. Once
again, anything over 15 feet should score at sectionals.
CLASS C OUTLOOK: Once
again, whatever Bronxville has should be the best. While Jaglom is a
better triple jumper, she is solid in the LJ.
My guess is that Bronxville will have another newcomer.

Somers Sarah Keating went 33’ last spring and is out for winter and she
will be solid. Hen Hud’s
Anika Edwards is dangerous when healthy, as is Somers
Rachel Cassata( 32’) and teammate Laura Tuson (31’10”). TZ’s Sullivan can jump as well.

CLASS B OUTLOOK: Swiatocha is the
best returning jumper, and while she did not jump well last winter, she has
cleared 5’02” and jumped better last spring.
Somers 8th grader Avery Faeth cleared
4’11” last spring in 7th grade and should be one of the best
around. Beacon’s Riccardi,
Magnus’s Yeoncades, and Somers Tuson
are all athletes who have cleared 4’08” or better.
